Great tartar sauce! Really liked the coleslaw and the fish was fantastic. This is haddock but the wife loved her halibut.
While visiting a family member, I passed through the area and stopped for lunch before heading back to Toronto. It was my first time visiting this restaurant, and I was pleasantly surprised by the extensive menu offering a wide range of options. After much contemplation, I settled on ordering the Fish and Chips. I'm so glad I went with that choice because the fish was expertly battered and cooked to perfection, making it one of the most enjoyable fish and chips experiences I've had in a long while. The homemade tartar sauce served alongside the dish was exceptional, and the French fries were simply delicious. I want to thank Robert, my server, for his attentive service throughout my dining experience. His professionalism and friendliness enhanced my overall experience at the restaurant. I also found the place's ambiance cozy and welcoming, contributing to the lovely, family-friendly atmosphere. My wife and I were hungry and stopped at this roadside resturant, we had the haddock and chips. It was great fish and chips!! The guy working seemed indifferent when we got there but I realized it is just who he is and who am I to judge, I was there to get food lol. As we ate and got to know him he was much better. Would recommend eating here to anyone that is in the area
Some of the best fish and chips I have had in Canada. I’m from Scotland, where decent fish and chips are a way of life, and this spot makes both our son and me very happy indeed. Both the chips and fish always appear to be fried in clean oil, and the batter on the fish is just perfectly crispy. The fish tastes very fresh, and the chips are pretty damn good for Canada. I tried this place for the first time in around 2018, and wasn’t impressed, but they have certainly stepped up their game food-wise, and so I now return regularly. The owner is pretty grumpy, but the teens working there recently are really great. We always takeout and eat in the car, but it’s always a real treat, and pretty decently priced for the quality. Highly recommended by our family.
We were starving after driving for a while so glad the food was fast. The fish and chips lived up to the hype. Also would highly recommend the coleslaw. Cute place.
It's been a long time since i've been at a fish and restaurant where the quality of the food and the amount given is excellent. You either get fries that are soggy, more batter than fish or everything's greasy. Blue water, fish and grill is none of these. I have to say the quality of their batter, the amount of fish served, and the manner in which the fries are cooked are all excellent. When i'm back in town, I'll be back there for lunch again.
Excellent fish, simple but delicious flavours. Had the grilled halibut with salad, Italian dressing. Fish is fresh, tasty, with some lightly grilled bread crumbs clearing it. With some fresh squeezed lemon. Also had deep fried mushrooms as appetizer - delicious as well. Thanks!
